About Me:
The Reverend is a simple man who wants to enjoy communing with his Cigar Congregation while enjoying a fine bourbon and a fine cigar without being persecuted by devilish G-Men or oppressive Smoke Police.

The Rev has been smoking cigars for over 20 years - it's the only hobby that's stuck with the Rev through his adult life. His best ideas, conversations and inspirations have come during cigar sessions.

The Rev works in healthcare and is an ordained non-denominational minister who's passion in life is to convert as many people to the Sacrement of the Cigar as possible - can he get a witness from the congregation?

The Rev will also gladly officiate any nuptials or funerals for travel expenses and a cigar/bourbon honorarium.

CAO Italia and Gold

Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Sumatran

Bauza (Fuente-crafted) Torpedo

Partagas Cifuentes

Gispert

La Aurora

Cohiba XV

Perdomo Cameroons

A. Fuente
(Or just about anything Cameroon-wrapped - and the Rev ain't just talking cigars, glory!!!)

Rolys or Curly Heads (when cutting the grass - or broke!)
What cigar accessories do you own?
Living in NOLa, the Rev's gear must be able to function in rain and hurricane conditions:

The Wenger stainless steel Swiss Army Cigar Knife: (excellent) cutter, corkerscrew, serrated blade scissors, can & bottle opener AND cigar poker. This allows the Rev in a hurricane situation, with one blessed tool, to open Spaghetti-O's, Yellowtail Shiraz, MRE's and to clip his trusty Bauza Torpedo . And lest we forget - a knife.

The Rev's humidor is a big cedar-lined Igloo cooler humidified by multiple Dri-Mistat cylinders. Air- and watertight & completely portable for the fairly regular evacuations endured by The 504 between June 1 & November 31.

The Rev lights his fire with a Scripto wind resistant B-B-Q pit lighter. He's given up on any lighters costing more than $3.00. Just buy 5 of these babies and you're all set for any kinda weather. Lose it? So what! Plunk down $3.00 and get another one.

The Rev also uses 5- and 15-stick Otter Box travel humidors (also waterproof) and multiple leather 2/3 stick pocket carriers for evenings out in non-Katrina-like conditions.
How many box purchases do you make a year?
6 plus multiple non-box purchases from local shops like Don Juan & Mayan Import Co
Did someone invite you to Social Cigar? And if so who?

Father's Day

My Sisters and Brothers from Other Mothers,

A Glorious Good Morning and Happy Fathers Day to ALL Fathers –still with us or gone on to their just rewards - be that you, your father, the person who you call father, our Heavenly Father and – if you will so kindly indulge the Rev, my father, Robert Meyn, Sr.

Let’s be clear – my father is my hero. But he is not a man who has done things most people would call heroic. He is a simple man who has worked hard all his life: he held down 2 jobs in high s… Continue

Don't fall asleep on this chemistry lesson, y'all

My Sisters and Brothers from Other Mothers...

As if y'all needed a reason to enjoy, in moderation, an alcoholic beverage while savoring your stick du jour, check out this explanation of how a bourbon and water with a lime twist enhances the flavor detected by your palate.

Peace, Love and Smokes...The Rev
